I really enjoyed Snowbasin today, liked the mountain a lot more than Park City. But, with limited terrain I did everything multiple times and unless they open a ton more terrain tomorrow I won't be going back.

They shut down the lifts at 2:30 because it was so damn windy. Miserable conditions. Biting cold wind that slammed bits of ice into your face, no fun

Right before they closed the lifts I was on a lift with 4 other guys and they kept having to stop the lift each time it unloaded because the wind would slam people to the right when they got off the lift like bowling pins and everyone would fall over. It was funny yet frustrating because it meant having to sit on the lift and deal with the wind that much longer. Even though my group saw it happen half a dozen times, we still all got knocked over getting off the lift, that's how windy it was

Oh and Park City is opening the Quicksilver Gondola tomorrow which is huge. No more having to waste an hour on the bus to go over to Canyon

Very productive storm in my corner of Colorado so far. Got 2" down already and it's still coming down. Another 2" overnight seems reasonable, which would have me overperforming.

Look around for snow totals at 10 MST:

Breck: 6"
Copper: 7-8"
Vail: 4" mid-mountain
Keystone: around 3"
Crested Butte: 10.5"

Park City: 2"

Snow ain't about to stop anywhere either.

Yeah we didn't get as much snow as predicted in PC. Still more to come though.

Too bad but a stormy day to come as you said.

Eyeballing 4" at my house and still coming down. Will do a summary of storm totals thus far later.

Yesterday was just nasty. Rain/snow mix, windy, then ice hitting you in the face.

Try powder mountain before you leave. Lift tickets on week nights are only like $35

Tomorrow, I think Vail Pass is closed for most of the day. Mostly because I expect wrecks with Christmas Eve traffic. Sunday, at least right now doesnt look too bad for driving out though probably some snow coming in.

Will keep checking in this thread, suppose to drive I70 from Denver to Vail on Sunday.

I was going to say go hit Canis Lupis for me but it’s closed. Looks like the entire right/north side is still closed.

Vail Pass closed. Has been for a good hour for "safety concerns".

i just picked up another inch in the last hour. 7.25" down and plenty more to come. Most snow ive ever seen here.

8.5" as of 1:30 local and once again dumping.

I believe it, I'd been cranking 1"/hr rates since 10 am. Breck should be doing better. At 9" here

Looks like Breck is at a foot for this storm, and the models want to dump another 8-12" by tomorrow morning.

I70 closed at Avon now. So if you need to be in Vail today or tomorrow, hope you already made it.
