Got ya...yeah, we rented a car too. But, we had plans to go to the outlet malls, do some hiking around the city and even ended up driving to Brighton to ski

It was under $300 for 6 days so we never ended up taking the bus anywhere but good to know it works well between Canyons and Park City even with skis, backpack, boots, helmet, etc.

I've got me, my wife and 12 year old so Im usually not just carrying my gear

When ordering Uber at the SLC airport how much notice should I give? I'll need to disembark the plane and get to baggage claim.

WSW to SW flow for a couple of days. CB does extremely well in that regime. Enjoy.

Depending on the airline, the walk from your terminal to baggage claim could take quite a while. It's an impressive distance from Southwest, even with the moving sidewalks. If you're flying with skis or a board, expect that to come out after most of the standard luggage as well.

I’m not sure. We didn’t Uber last trip because we had a rental car on the arrival and our flight was at 6:30 am leaving and we were afraid we wouldn’t be able to find an Uber at 3:30am. We set up a shuttle service and out of curiosity I checked Uber while we were waiting and there were no Ubers at that time. So keep that in mind if you have early flights.

Anything that isn't Delta at SLC is going to guarantee a long walk as all other airlines use the B concourse. Even some Delta flights arrive there and it's a hike. It took me 20 minutes to get from B3 to baggage claim.

Damn, so maybe 20-30 minutes plus the baggage wait? Now I'm not sure when to order Uber.

Just added a weekend trip to Mammoth next month and meeting some friends in Boston to somewhere in Vermont in February. Caught the itch and hoping to get 10 days in this season between those and a Copper Mountain trip. Wouldn't mind hitting Kirkwood, too.

There should be plenty of Uber's in the area. Just order when you get your bags.

Yeah, it's a hike. Honestly, I wouldn't order it until you hear the luggage belt start moving. The rideshare pickup place isn't that far from baggage claim

Yeah but at least for about half the walk you have the people movers. Then there is the long walk underground and then down the biggest hallway in all of existence.

And the "longest hallway" is only halfway done!

Even when it's finished it'll still be shorter than the A terminal at DTW but they at least have the train.

It’s a long hike for sure, but I’d still schedule an Uber even if you have to wait 30 min to an hour. I didn’t last time I flew to SLC, and once I got to the drop off/pick up point, no Ubers or Lyfts were available. And that was with a double rate. Ended up getting one about an hour and a half later, but it made me sweat no doubt.

*I don’t use Uber much, don’t know if that had anything to do with it. No negative reviews though

Just saw that I can schedule. So maybe put in for 45 minutes after our scheduled landing?
BTW, looks like maybe 2' of snow while we're there. Perfect timing.

I’ve never been. But it seems like a decent spot for a quick trip. You can actually see it off in the distance from the top of Killington.

Killington has 6 different peaks and a ton of terrain. Reminded me of a mini Breckinridge how it is laid out.

Yeah, Im getting a chubby every model run at this point. Easily the highest snow totals on the ensembles Ive seen in the last year.

Beautiful prolonged troughing in the west keeping things cold and just a train of storm systems woth little breaks in between.

With the MJO looking to stick in phase 7 longer, this general idea should remain. Until it goes finally shift into phase 8, dont see much reason to break this cold west/warm east regime.
