Every year you log in and make a request, you are allowed to request 4 tickets for Mon-Weds practice rounds, 2 badges per day Thurs-Sun. The end of May they hold the tournament lottery and notify if you won or not, then the end of June they notify practice round ticket winners.

Yes, it's easy. But you'll have to wait to next year to try to get tickets for the 2018 tournament.
Give it a try. It's a wonderful sporting experience. No corporate crap, no special tents and over looks over the 18th hole. It's first come first serve for everything. Professional about everything.

Went last year. Enjoyed the bars around town, hit up some local restaurants that were way overpriced, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Missed out on the lottery this year.

going for a Tuesday practice round. Staying in Atlanta Sunday night and paying $300+ for a quality inn for a couple nights in Augusta. I'm willing to drop a ton of money for this

My advice is to stay in Atlanta and drive over the two hours in the morning.
I disagree with this. I've been twice in the last 5 years and stayed in Augusta the night before both times. If you stay in Atlanta, you're looking at a 4 AM wake up call to get to Augusta by 7:00. And you definitely want to be in Augusta by then. The tickets state that gates open at 8:00, but you can get on the grounds before then and go souvenir shopping first, bring your stuff back to your car, then go back in at 8:00 when the course actually opens.
Bottom line...spend the $100 per person and stay 4 in a room in Augusta if the money is an issue. Call now though. Those rooms won't be around for long.

You can get a house with 3 bedrooms on the 9th hole of Great Waters for $300 per night (including cleaning fees) on Airbnb.

Then you could just walk down to the clubhouse for your tee time, since you'll only be a couple hundred yards from the clubhouse.

Got lucky and won two tickets for Friday. As soon as I got email I booked a room a mile from the course. Not the nicest hotel but will be fun to be in the middle of it all. Plus I'll be driving so could spend a little more on hotel. Can't wait and looking forward to reading posts from those that have been.

If interested in Reynolds Plantation, my father just posted this pic on Facebook. Its the view of the 14th green at Great Waters from his deck earlier today. Beautiful course. That's Lake Oconee in the background, and his neighbor on the green. His neighbor is an a-hole, but he has a couple of Super Bowl Champion rings.

Great Waters. They have several other courses at Reynolds Plantation or Reynolds at Lake Oconee, or whatever they are calling it these days. They have 6 courses by Nicklaus, Fazio, Rees Jones, and Jim Engh, among others...
Nicklaus designed Great Waters. The back nine is completely different from the front nine. Almost all the holes from 9 onward run along Lake Oconee.

In case anybody's wondering, that's Ben Roethlisberger on the green in that picture...
ETA: There is also a couple other courses in the area. Cuscowilla is just down the road and is one tough track.

In his notes masters week rates sky rocket, but putting in the weekend before they don't, I contacted the owner we shall see, would stay Saturday and Sunday night. We would probably play Ross Bridge on the way Saturday and one of the Reynolds courses Sunday, Masters on Monday then find a good spot to stay halfway home Monday night and play on the way home Tuesday or just drive home with no golf.

Just a general comment. I've been several times in the last few years. I got tickets through the lottery and from some very generous family members.
I've heard a lot of people say "Man, I would give anything to go to the Masters" !
Single day passes are available along Washington Ave. during the tournament. You may pay $500 - $700 for them but it is possible if this is on your bucket list.
Had I not gotten tickets like I did, would I pay that one for the opportunity to go...HELL YES !
Forget about the golf...it's the most beautiful "botanical garden" you will ever see !!!!!

Went 2 years for practice round. We rented a house in Augusta from air bnb. I think we paid 400 a night for 3 bedroom house about 5 miles from Course. Great deal and would definitely do it again.

Still looking for deals, but locked in Saturday night at Ross Bridge and have free room and board at a big pad near Grand National (gonna play it Sunday) any other must do's or options before Augusta Monday?

Lakes course has a big hump on every green. Last par 3 has a tee box at about 270. I don't think that it's on the scorecard.

I don't understand the big deal with Masters tickets. Call the 1018 Club, get any day you want. Go have fun.
