I'm glad I ran across this thread. I just booked a London/Paris trip for September next year.

Had you not previously heard of Google or Apple Maps? I am confused

I always use Citymapper when using public transportation. It is great. It also gives me Uber rates as well.

I was in London when all the train workers were on strike. Citymapper was great when trying to figure out the buses.

used a travel agent Do not do this, youd be burning cash

I’m not suggesting a travel agent, but this isn’t true very often. TA’s commission is often times built into the reservations they book like from Disney, resorts, all inclusive, air fare, etc. I’ve had family book flights and hotel packages through a TA that were cheaper than what I could book.

But I just think a TA in Europe outside of a cruise is a waste. You should be doing research yourself to learn the history, why it’s important, etc so that you can see what interests you the most.

Otherwise all you we doing is going to the top tourist sites and the TA’s favorite places, which may or may not fit you

Use trip masters.com to plan the flights and hotel and train. Easy.

Europe Trip

Pack a damn rag.

Am I supposed to just rub the soap on my bhole and then my face? My poor wife always showers second.

Trying to navigate a hand towel in my nooks and crannies in those tiny showers was an experience.

Jesus. Bring a loofa or buy one? lol.

You sound like my wife, every time we travel I remind her we aren’t going to the Amazon or the africa bush for 2 months. There’s these places called stores where locals somehow survive off what they sell

Citymapper is the shite in London. It’s amazing. It goes a step beyond google maps, and seems to be tied into TfL (Transport for London) very accurately. Like so accurate, it tells you how long the next tube train is away from you and where to sit on the train.

Travel agents are a joke, anyone with time and a brain can find similar or better deals than those people. So many apps and websites now available that I'm surprised the industry is still alive
