What’s up? Are we losing NBC channels Oct 1? Might have to check out Hulu live or something else

Got the email yesterday. They’re dropping NBC and knocking $10 off the fee.

I’ll just get Peacock until they figure it out.

So with peacock do you get all of the live sports?

I’m assuming you don’t get your local nbc news?

ETA: I guess you can watch your local news through their app

It does appear that the golf channel would be gone though

As far as I know.

I don’t need my local NBC news.

I actually wouldn't mind the $10 off as I never watch NBC.

Me neither. Other than the Sunday night game.

Yep Sunday night football is nice

The golf channel would be my biggest loss

Sunday night football is nice but not needed for myself. I'll take the 10 dollars off

If it means Bravo goes, I'm all for it. No more real housewives can be watched by my wife.

I just got done talking to a representative and as of right now they are still at an impasse, and the YoutubeTV rep was told to tell customers to expect to lose the channels. I guess they are miles apart in negotiations.

Yeah I'm not even sure local NBC is part of that or not. I looked up NBC Universal lineup or whatever it's called and I don't really care if they go away especially for $10 off.

They're even running commercials from the NBC side during on demand shows. You'd think YouTube would be able to stop that.

I think this is my final push to just move towards FuboTV. It's weird to me that YTTV keeps having "issues" with other players (i.e. Roku and now NBCU). Seems like there's 1 common denominator is these "problems".

I have FuboTV. Picture is not as good and no 5.1 audio, but I love the interface.

It's only a matter of time before they have issues with NBC or someone else as well because those companies want you to use their service instead of youtubetv, Fubo, etc...

Really? Picture seems the same to me, plus I like its integration with Apple devices much better. Hell, they even let spatial audio happen via FuboTV whereas YTTV does not.

That being said, I don't think I've even noticed 5.1 on YTTV. It must only be on the on demand catalogue, which I never use.

But does peacock get the same channels and such as “normal” NBCU? If so, then I’m super confused as why YTTV would drop price by 10$ per month when you can get peacock for 5$ a month.
