WiSA and other "sound bar killers"

Going to start over on the main entertainment system and I am focusing on the sound right now. So many options-so many differing reviews. I do not mind spending money on this because we are over 50 and have trouble with dialogue.
So, in searching, I came across the WiSA systems including the two from Enclave. These are attractive to me because they include multiple speaker without having to use an AV receiver. They are meant to be used with your TV remote.
Others I have looked at are the Polk and Klipsch Cinema bars that can use two surrounds. I have lots of outlets, so powering multiple speakers will not be a problem. I can even run the kind that connect to the sub without any trouble hiding the wires.
So, my priorities are:
1. Ease of use and control with our 1 remote(AT&T)
2. No wire runs other than power
3. Dialogue
4. Price...under $2K unless the Sennheiser is really the best way to go here.
Any experience here with these?

i lump these in with the term 'soundbar' because anything that doesn't require a separate AVR purchase and configuration I consider under the soundbar label.
eventually these will all but replace AVRs much to tigerwise's chagrin.

As long as high-end speakers exist, that ain't happening

There's a generation (or two) that hasn't heard really good music. They think that Bose and SONOS is great and most of them have listened to compressed music their entire lives.
Fortunately, LPs are making a comeback and with the LP comes the need for at least a little more serious sound system. The Hi-Res streaming services are also helping.

AVR in my living room. Disney+, Netflix, Amazon all have things like Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos now.
I agree that the masses won't have an AVR, but I also don't think the masses have ever really had AVRs anyway.

TV has music in it.

Sonos Beam or Arc with some of their surround options with dialogue enhancer turned on.

Savant has some WiSA products. I actually call them SONOS killers because you get a lot more bang for your buck. Sound bar with intergraded automation host, plus you can add custom match grills.
I’m on team AVR. I have a 3 zone unit powering kitchen audio, master bedroom audio and video, living room surround sound and video.
They both have there places

Never had a TV without an AVR since. To each his/her own, I guess.

rather than looking down your nose on the 'non audiophile unwashed masses' why not get on board where the industry is going and support better audio options without the headache of a dedicated AVR getup?
as much as y'all pretend an AVR setup is SO EASY FOR THE SPOUSES at the end of the day, we all know they require constant tinkering and there are very few 'regular' people capable of setting one up properly to get the most out of it even if they manage to purchase all the cables and wires they need and plug them in correctly.
Whose wife isn't delighted to pick up something like this to configure her TV to watch a hallmark christmas movie?
i'm sure in your perfect setup your wife and kids *NEVER* accidently hit one of the buttons on this that screws everything up.

until AVRs stop looking like that, they'll never make any inroads into the mass market.

When lightning killed my 10-year old Sony AVR this past spring, I opted for a much simpler system: all my sources (STB, Bluray, Roku) run directly into my TV, with a single optical output into a 5.1 AVR. Only thing anyone has to deal with is volume level.
Of course I don’t have any audio-only sources to deal with, so that really keeps it uncomplicated.

once you've turned your surround system into a single volume up/down its impossible to go back down that road again.

Every 5 hours I am going to buy a different system
That Sony HT-a9 seems cool. The Klipsch Cinemas seems like a best buy. The Samsung Q950A seems like the best bar option ever.
The spouse comment has me worried about anything not a soundbar, but those WiSA deals sure seems cool.
shite...it might boil down to which TV I end up with.
