So I've been using a set of Sony wired headphones for YEARS and they played out a few weekends ago.

Bought a couple of different wireless sets tonight to dip my toe into that pool.

1. JBL
2. BLACKWEB

Both 50ish

I wish the JBL had the direct plug to my phone because the sound is far superior to the BlackWeb headphones.

Question is. As I was looking I see Beats at 300.00

Is there a better sound than the JBL?

The high end Everest headphones by JBL are fantastic, and better than Beats at similar price points. AKG (same parent company as JBL) also has some very legit headphones at higher pricepoints.

Totally agree. JBL. Beats are good, but to my ears you are paying a premium for the name.

I have a hard time dropping 300-400 on some headphones unless the sound quality was far superior from the ~50 price range.

I have AirPods and Sony 1000xm2s. The AirPods are great and I’m glad I bought them. I ordered some little $10 ear gels from amazon that I use when doing heavy physical stuff so they don’t fall out and they work great.

The Sony’s I bought because i wanted noise canceling headphones when i fly. I was between these and the Bose at similar price point and they’ve been great. They’ve got a cool feature that if I touch my hand to the right ear it’ll let me hear ambient noise so I can respond to a flight attendant without having to take them off.
