The puck replaces your router, correct?

A decent router, in my experience, DOES cover a 1900 sq ft house easily BUT it does not cover it well. My home is 1700 sq ft and my $100 Netgear router wasn't providing a consistent and strong signal throughout the home and 1 acre yard.
Yeah, the problem with a single signal source is there will inevitably be blind spots unless your house is entirely wood and drywall. Bathrooms are the worst, with big mirrors and sometimes tile that reflect signals. Wifi also struggles to get through brick/masonry, so outdoor signals are weak and it could make blind spots inside depending on the layout of the house.

Yes. Sorry.

I meant to say you don’t need Eatels router. The puck would be your router.

So if I need additional wired ethernet, I can plug in an unmanaged switch into the first puck and distribute from there?

I've got a few things plugged into the Eatel router now.

Got my Google WiFi set up hard wired for now to the Pace router. Very fast and worked exactly how I needed it in my separate shop via Ethernet cable.

Thanks for the help.

So if I cancel my Eatel cable and turn in my the supplied router I will need a modem for Google WiFi?

That's the way it should work. As long as I'm using Eatel for TV I have to have the router/modem.

No. The Cat 6 cable coming from your box outside would plug directly into the Google WiFi.

No modem required.

I got the deco M5 for christmas. i have a 1300 sqft house but alot of blind spots and poor connections to my camera on my garage in the backyard. The deco works great for me and set up was easy. I have the 3 puck configuration. I have co-workers who have this set up too and like it. For the price of Google wifi and Orbi, the TP link is a good less expensive option.

All that said, i will say my 2 nest outdoor cams will disconnect from time to time but i haven't been able to confirm its the deco. It's very possible it's the camera.
