Why can't I just "Pay-Per-View" everything?

Seriously. Screw all of these streaming services. Let me pick a la carte style what I want to watch. I realize I am now I am paying 50+ dollars a month for Sling to tune in a few hours a week for NASCAR races. Other than that I don't watch a freaking thing. And when the NASCAR season wraps up I will cancel for 2 months and then subscribe again. And then for the next 10 months pay monthly for a few hours a month. Give me a race for $5 and call it a deal. If I get a wild hair charge me $3 for an episode of Maude. Ugh!

You’re on tiger droppings. On tech board.
I only tried it for a couple days during World Cup when some other service was down but it was excellent, way better than Pia/bunny/iptorrentz was 6 months ago.

Their advertisers don't like not knowing how much money they're going to potentially make (and have to spend) for a 30 second ad week to week. It's why you can't pay to opt out of Facebook, Instagram, etc. profiling to serve you ads.
Your racing is on for what four hours a week? You're already only paying 3.75 an hour to watch it. What's the issue?

Because all the channels are an illusion of choice
5 companies own all the channels to maximize ad revenue they need you subscribed to all their channels. So they only sell their channels in bundles.

Even regular youtube is going to shite. I had a 4 minute bearskin hoodie ad last night that I could not skip with the normal skip button. Its about to be TV from the 90s on youtube unless you pay for premium.

Youtube Premium Lite is among the best $8 I spend every month.
