all i know is you're pretty much double/triple/quadrupling down on your 'video is not a movie' argument.

ok.
Dude, I asked a question. I could not possibly think of why anyone would watch a movie on a phone. You and tard ramrod go making all sorts of incorrect assumptions instead of trying even a tiny bit to find out what I was asking. It's really entertaining to watch you use this forum as a gotcha game. And you wonder why you have the rep here that you do. Is this really free?

is so confusing to me is why people have to act like they like it?

Well I prefer the notch over the half inch bezel from earlier iPhones.

I agree that in time it will be gone completely but for right now it’s better than it was.

Samsung will put notches on its future phones

...Samsung has stood as the major holdout in a year when seemingly every other smartphone maker moved to releasing displays with a notch cutout. But at the company’s developer conference today, Samsung confirmed that it’s soon going to join in on the trend. A slide during the keynote showed several notch designs that are almost certainly coming to Samsung-branded devices in 2019 and beyond.

That's disappointing. I actually respected Samsung for not adapting to such a terrible trend.
