VPN client apps for FireTV

Scenario:
Father in law (bad at tech) has a camp. Rarely (2-5 times a year), he wants to be able to watch the Saints, LSU, etc.
He has cable internet with decent speeds.
I have streaming TV and more than enough bandwidth to sacrifice. When I VPN on a phone over cell data, I can watch my cable. I cannot, however, AirPlay this (I haven’t tried an actual lightning—>HDMI adapter…is that even really a thing any longer?)
He likes Apple TV. There are not AppleTV VPN clients. A Unifi Site to Site VPN does not work (even when the “remote” device takes a “local” IP address). I had a UDMP at home. I can host an L2TP but not PPOE vpn. He has a USG which can be a PPOE but not an L2TP client.
Is there a decent L2TP client for FireTV? If so, I think I could convince him to live with the device.
If there is not, any other suggestions for “hopping” a VPN client (L2TP) to an AppleTV that aren’t much work on the end user’s part?
ETA- I have a “Channels” server. It’s pretty reliable. But I was hoping to sort of take advantage of my cable app (because simplicity is a real advantage for him)

idk if it helps but i have a USG and a site with a UDMP and have a L2TP VPN config on each so that I can get back into each network from the other

Yeah- did that. Remote site uses its own internet connection and doesn’t see itself as “inside” the local network on its way to the internet.
It can see everything in the local internet no problem, but when the app tries to determine if it’s in/out of the “local” network, it chooses “outside” even if given a “local” IP and pointed to the “local” router.

I have a Firestick with IP Vanish on it. I subscribe to Directv Stream. I have taken my firestick to Aruba, and used it in the hotel instead of their shitty hotel cable. IP Vanish is very cheap and works for what I use it for.

I use Express VPN on my firestick so I can stream from Brazil. It works well for me.
