Vertical line down the middle of my TV

I bought a Vizio SmartCast 2-months ago and I just turned it on and there are two vertical lines down the screen. One in the middle and one on the far left. I've unplugged it several times and it hasn't changed. Any recommendations or anyone had this problem and fixed it? Thanks.

It's bad. See if you can return it but you won't be fixing that.

What broadhead said. No coming back from that one.

Unfortunate. Should I have any hope that Best Buy or Vizio will replace it, given I just got it?

Depends on the return policy. Check your credit card.

My in laws tv had something similar and I researched the problem and fixed it with some pieces of bicycle tire taped on the connections between the monitor and control board. It lasted a couple more years before it finally crapped out. Id look it up online and see what you find. You may be able to get a board for cheap on ebay if it is a board issue.

If it's only 2 months old I'd say you should be able to get it replaced.

Same issue here, except I have three vertical lines down my screen.
Some days are better than others.
I have a Samsung TV and it's about 8.5 years old. So ... it may be time for me, but I'm willing to stick it out since I don't watch a whole lot of TV.

Best Buy has a 30 day return policy, they'll probably chuckle about your issue unless you bought the product protection.
The manufacturer warranties the product for a year, but the hassle of sending it off and waiting can be painful if its your only tv.

It's 14 days unless you are a best buy elite or elite plus, where its 30 and 45 days respectively. If you had purchased it in November (during the holiday return period) you had until January 15th.
Your best bet would be to call Vizio and they may send someone out and replace it. In my experience Samsung is the easiest to work with when it comes to factory warranties. There is a chance that you can call the Geek Squad Hotline and they can send out a technician to repair or replace under the manufactures warranty. (If the screen is larger than 42" they require in home service and won't be shipped of in store for repair).

Sorry dude, that sucks.
Same thing happened to my LG, but it was 5 years old. I just moved that TV to my screen porch.
