So i have 3 networks setup (LAN, IoT, Guest) with 3 SSIDs accordingly. Recently i’ve noticed that a couple amazon devices will jump from the IoT SSID that i manually added them all on to the LAN SSID. I’ve tinkered and read ubiquiti support but i can find no rhyme or reason why they do it. Sometimes i’ll click on “reconnect” (usually a couple times) and they will jump back to IoT one and sometimes it wont. It’s usually a couple of the echo dots and sometimes a firetv stick. Figured i’d give this a shot before posting on ubiquiti support forums.

Did you go to each device and "forget" the LAN network? You had to have input the password at some point.

This.

I have the same issue at customer sites with machines that jump between networks. Whichever SSID is heard first and is configured on the client will be joined first.

100% a client configuration issue.

Make different passwords for each SSID so they can't access the others?

Yeah, maybe that was the issue with not forgetting the SSID for those devices. Will try that now. I have different passwords for each SSID. I even went into my Amazon account and made sure the saved credentials for old SSID were deleted.

Went back into Amazon account from browser and deleted saved WiFi again, then re-paired the offending devices and all seems to be right in the world again!

Thanks for the inputs
