wanted to make sure i have a clear understanding
on the UNFI AP lites if i am providing POE, will i need the POE injectors?
My understanding is the injector is used when you do not have POE and need to provide power. Is this correct?

As long as your switch has a compatible version of PoE as your AP you don’t need an injector.
Injectors are used when you don’t have a PoE switch essentially.

This is false with the AP Lites.
The AP Lites require the POE injector if you aren't using a Unifi POE switch. Very dumb but isn't a huge PITA if you already have the injector

I have AP Lites and use a non unify POE switch with no problem

At one time they required a certain voltage to power them via POE with a non Ubiquiti switch. The Cisco Small business switch I was using was providing too much power and wouldn't work with the Lite AP.

Looks like I have an older AC Lite that requires the POE adapter and the new ones do not according to Google

Yeah the new 6-Lite uses af, but they still sell the older ac-lite for $89 that uses 24v passive.

switch 24

6 APs which will have to be powered by the poe switch at the rack.
had to change up the switch to non poe as its not in stock and i just counld make myself pay twice the price for the nanohd APs for a damn home setup that will have only 6 people on the wifi normally and all other devices will be wired in.
would have went with wifi 6 but they are limitiing to 2 APs and i need 6 to cover house, mother in law apartment, garages, pool areas, etc.
