Uber app discontinuing?

So I keep getting emails that my version of uber is going to quit working the end of this month. Why do we have to reinstall? You'd think they would just release an update.

Delete then reinstall it.

Back in my day, we had to reinstall a program every time just to run it. It was stored on a cassette tape that connected to a computer the size of a small desk.

Cassette tape??? We had to make our own apps using punch cards on a mainframe that we had to make reservations to use at 2:00am...and we liked it.

Then hit print and wait an hour for it to come out on tractor feed paper. The a-hole student workers who controlled the printer had everyone at their mercy.
