Running Windows 11 Home on a Samsung touchscreen laptop.
Anytime I close the laptop, I can no longer use the touchpad unless I restart the computer. The option to turn it on/off under Settings -> Bluetooth and other devices just disappears. It's like the driver and everything is gone.

Why would the touchpad be Bluetooth? Maybe I'm not understanding.

Check for manufacturer specific drivers yet?

Check Device Manager. Every time I get an update, I lose the fingerprint reader and have to delete the driver and then rescan. Then everything works.

If your laptop has a shortcut feature to disable the touchpad, make sure it isn’t being enabled by accident.

Open device manager and uninstall touchpad driver then restart.

Go to the manufacturer and model support page for you laptop and Update BIOS, touchpad and chipset drivers.
