My wife needs a new phone. We both had Galaxy S9+ phones and like them, except hers broke and it will be expensive to fix. She got a Pixel 4a and hates it. She doesn't like the UI and there are a couple of bugs in her phone that keep recurring that pass her off.

T-Mobile has a deal where you can get up $800 for a trade in towards an $800 Galaxy S21. Both my S9+ and her Pixel 4a qualify for the max trade in, so I'm thinking about upgrading both of our phones.

Is there a catch? I have been with T-Mobile for almost 20 years, and my deal on service is so good, that I don't see myself leaving anytime, soon, so having to stay with T-Mobile for two years is not a big deal.

T mobile is the best, cheapest option out there, I don't see that changing anytime soon.

The T Mobile military plan is the best. Dirt cheap, unlimited, and free netflix.

On ATT you have to be on one of their new unlimited plans to get the $800 off, so check with that on T mobile.

I just got a S21+ to replace my S9+. Samsung.com had a deal, I got it for $650 with trade in of a S9 that we had replaced for my wife 3 months ago and was sitting in a drawer. It also came with $200 in credits for the Samsung store.
My wife has S20, they gave us $700 for trading it in, so cost $150, and she also got $150 in store credit, so I was able to upgrade both our phones for $800, with $350 in credits, and I sold my S9+ on facebook for $300, so my net ended up being $250 for both.

Not sure if they still have that, but you could check with Samsung if you don't want to purchase via TMobile.

I ended up getting an S21 for my wife, and got an S21 Ultra for me. My monthly bill went up $20 after the credits, mostly because I decided to get the Ultra, instead of the base S21. I traded in my S9+ and her Pixel 4a.

I pay $120 for 6 phones with unlimited everything, with the military discount. It's in my son's name, because he is in the Navy. My wife, my other 3 kids, and I are all on the plan and the total is $120.

I had T-Mobile back when they were not considered to be the best carrier. If you qualify for the military discount, you should check out T-Mobile.

ETA: Before you criticize me for only getting the standard S21 for my wife, that is the one she asked for because she prefers a smaller phone, and the S9+ was a tad large for her.

My wife was the same, she didn't want a bigger phone than the S21.
