Long time Sprint customer. Save it. I know all the horror stories about service, data speeds and customer service. For me (and my wife), it works very well where we need it.

Here's what we currently have:

2 lines, $100.00. Unlimited talk. Unlimited data. Unlimited messaging. No roaming. No throttling. I pay roughly $110.00 per month after fees and taxes.

Here's what Sprint is coming out with tomorrow (2/17):

4 lines for $22.50 per month, per line.

Savings until 3/31/2018; then $60.00 month for line 1, $40 for line 2 and $30 month for lines 3 - 4.

Streams video at up to HD 1080p, music at up to 1.5 mpbs, gaming at up to 8 mbps. Data deprioritization (probably not a factor since not many people use Sprint :-) ). MSH, P2P and VPN reduced to 2G speeds after 10 GB per month. Yes, 2G would be like watching paint dry. But don't see that as an issue for us.

And this now includes 10 GB Mobile Hotspot.

It seems like a good deal for us since we want to get my oldest daughter a phone as she is about to enter middle school. And perhaps, we may even get my youngest daughter a phone as well ... who knows ...

Is Verizon's plan comparable? T-Mobile is out, only because they do not have service where I live. And no way I will deal with the devil ... AT&T.

After the promo runs out, I'm looking at $40.00 a line for unlimited everything ... this is a good deal, right?

What am I missing here?

God bless TMobile. They really forced almost everyone into a price and bandwidth war.

As we can all see, competition among like competitors benefits the customer.

I can't imagine being able to get unlimited everything for less than $40.00 ... but who knows ... seems like a good deal that many will take advantage of.

Competition is a beautiful thing. They need to do the same with cable companies and healthcare.

So if you sign up tomorrow, you're locked in for good or just for that 1 month and then you go to the next pricing...not getting what ya saying here?

From what I understand, this promotional pricing starts tomorrow (first day that you can sign up for it).

The $22.50 per month, per line ends on 3/31/2018. So it's good for 1 year and 1/2 month. $90.00 for 4 lines.

After that, it goes to $60.00 month for line 1, $40 for line 2 and $30 month for lines 3 - 4. $160 for 4 lines.

Best deal that I have found thus far. Verizon works out to $45 per line or $180 for 4 lines.

T-Mobile is $100.00 for 2 lines, taxes included. Not sure about what lines 3 and 4 cost. As I mentioned earlier, they don't have service where I live.

I remember when getting 1000 minutes of anywhere talk time and 250 text messages a month on my phone for $110 a month was a big deal!

I pay 165 for 2 lines that was for 1500 minutes to land lines and unlimited text and data..this was for subsidized plans..now I guess this will bring it down to 100 for 2 lines and will work out to about the same price after I buy 2 new phones at 33 extra a month..

only question is, it hasn't been 2 years since I got my subsidized phones and extended my contract..am I stuck until the 2 years is up?

The thing that pisses me off. The subsidized phones going away. This plans will have to include either a phone you buy outright or a monthly fee for a phone. If you get the discounted phone as part of two year agreement, which you can only get online any longer, they will add a $25 per line "fee"

Subsidized phones going away is a good thing. If you do the math, it works out better for you if you don't change phones every time a new model comes out.

More importantly, it puts pricIng pressure on the handset makers to keep costs down.

I am a long time Sprint customer, over 15 years. I have 4 phones on the unlimited right now. My only problem is accessing my unlimited data is impossible most of the time. In my building at work, data is impossible to receive. All my coworkers (not on Sprint) have no issue streaming anything and I can't even bring up a webpage. Unlimited and inaccessible. I'm switching.

How so when the rumors for the Apple phone is saying it will cost around $1,000 now??

And sucks if you changed out phones every time your contract was up...2 years is usually about the life span of a phone before it starts slowing down and stops getting new os updates...

the idea is that people see the real cost and it scares them, which would in turn drive the cost down.
However, in the case of Apple, it has a huge following and their users pay overpriced stuff all the time.
