Sonos Playbar and Sub

Howdy all. We are moving back into our home after the flood and changing things up a bit. I had a Samsung hw-f550 in the living room and it was a nice sound bar. We are moving it into the bedroom and looking to upgrade for the livingroom.
I bought two Sonos Play 1s for the master bath, so I thought about the Playbar and sub would be a good idea.
I'm going to hold off on the two rear Play 1s just to save some money, but what is everyone's opinion on these bars?

Big fan of mine.
It's hard to top the sound bar + sub for plug and play.

That's all I want, plug and play. A good friend owns an audio shop and can do a full install, but this just seems so much easier. Also, the connectivity between rooms and the app makes it very appealing..
Do you have the additional Play 1s,or just the Playbar and sub?

I've got a playbar, sub and right and left play 1s in the living room. Play 3s in kitchen and master bedroom. The app is very easy to use.
Only complaint is you have to run music services through their app. You can't just play from a random app on your phone.

Sort of incorrect. They will show up as audio cast device from any app that suppprts casting.

One last bump before I buy this off Amazon.

Like I said before, you can't go wrong with this HIFI plug and play system. Easy enough for the wife/family to use and sounds fantastic.
Being able to control what's played in multiple rooms is great and super easy to do.

Have them both - great sound - extra loud and great bass when you want it. The interface is also fantastic - really easy to use.
The drawback is the price, but I do think it's worth it.

I've spent over 2500 on sonos in the last 3 weeks
Amazon had some warehouse deals on the play 1 and play 3s
My wife and I love sonos

Does anyone have any experience with the Sonos Connect:AMPs?
As in, I have 4 in ceiling speakers that I'd like to connect to the Connect:AMPs. However, can I use 1 Connect:AMP to connect 4 speakers to as a "Zone"? Also, would that Zone be able to be used as a surround sound with the playbar and sub?

I have a connect for my turntable.
Pretty sure you can put up to 4 speakers per connect.

The sonos beta program now allows you to use spotify directly to control your system. Works on my iphone and desktop app.

Yea, I've been messing with the beta program.
I just want all my other apps to stream.
Guessing I need an android not iOS to do what was discussed above.

Bump...
Anyone wanna opine on whether or not a Sonos Playbar+Sub+2 Play:3s would sound better than my current setup of Difinitive Technology Front Right, Center and Left speaker with 4 in ceiling speakers?
I ask because people say that 4 in ceiling speakers don't sound as good, so would Sonos sound better?

I kind of remember what you have and I don't believe it is set up correctly. It should sound better than a sound bar.

I'm all sorts of bumping this thread again for an additional question I gotta ask. For those that have the Sonos Connect or the Sonos Connect:AMP, can I use either of these with my current receiver and play music through the connect/connect:AMP and still watch TV?
So that can easily be done with the Sonos Playbar but can I still watch TV through my receiver and also play music through the connect or connect:AMP through my receiver?
