Someone learn me up on buying speakers for a receiver

I didn't want to hijack the other home audio thread.
I am wanting to switch to in ceiling speakers for my living room speakers. I have the ears of a peasant and I use them for playing music and watching tv along with a 2nd zone on the back patio.
I have a Yamaha RX-V583 and not sure if there is something in particular I need to look for as far as speakers for it.
The following is greek to me:
Rated Output Power (1kHz, 1ch driven) 115 W (8 ohms, 0.9% THD)
Rated Output Power (20Hz-20kHz, 2ch driven) 80 W (8 ohms, 0.09% THD)
Maximum Effective Output Power (1kHz, 1ch driven) (JEITA) 145 W (6 ohms, 10% THD)
I'm assuming I can't deviate from the 8 ohms but am I making sure I get something rated above 115 watts?

Whatever you buy will be fine for that receiver. What’s your budget? Does budget include subwoofer? You doing four or five speakers?

I’ve got a subwoofer and was planning on 5 speakers. Under $500 if I can for the speakers.

Highest Sensitivity speaker within your budget imo

I did a similar set up. Was building a new home so I got forced to go through an imstaller. Got B&W in ceiling speakers. All 5 for about 650. Im no audiophile so they do what they need to do.

Look into Klipsch speakers because they are efficient, meaning it doesn’t take much power to drive them without distortion.
Keep in mind that when you are driving five speakers that the wattage is divided by five channels — not one or two. So you need speakers that are efficient and sound clean without a lot of power.
If you have to crank up your system insanely high to get a lot of volume (and corresponding blaring) then you have inefficient speakers.
Try not to scrimp on your speakers. Buy once, cry once.

eta: And not a rating of a speakers quality.

Don't base anything on those Yamaha HTIB speakers you have (had). Frankly, they aren't quality speakers.
My suggestion is to listen to some speaker systems within your budget. Speakers are very subjective.

50% off these Polks
I've had my Polk tower speakers for about 10 years and absolutely love them.
