Was wondering if anyone can post a link . Looking to buy something i can just plug the hdmi cable onto the back of the tv and play some old classics like: Zelda, Ken griffey etc...Would buy and old console and some games but some of those old games are running 100 dollars or more.

You have to buy a SNES and then an Everdrive, or yes, the games will break the bank.
If you don't have an analog tv though, just buy some chinese knockoff, emulators with pre loaded roms are rampant on ali express.

I’ve looked at this a lot lately.
If you want plug and play, your first response is right. Go to Amazon and search “emulator console” and enjoy. Get one with a bunch of good reviews.
It’s very easy to do yourself, and Archive dot org has tons of complete to sets for download (at very low speeds unfortunately), and you can pick which front end you want. Most will run batocera Linux and basically boot into a neat little OS that can be controlled by a wired/wireless gamepad.
ETA: I’ve been half-tempted to drop $700 on a predone system with a gpu that will run anything through a ps3 game with 66,000 preloaded. Again- the files are available for free from archive, but it can be tedious and slow to download them.

an Everdrive
gonna need an FXPak Pro (formerly sd2snes), not Everdrive, unless you're willing to miss out on many games with expansion chips

Raspberry pi does exactly what you’re looking for

Agreed, RetroPie does this with ease. However finding a Pi these days without getting scalped is pretty much impossible.

$700 for a 5600G PC
No. $700 for a functional machine with hours of downloading done by someone else The download times from archive blow.
I’d also never build that pc. Thus the dilemma

It took me maybe an hour to get the full Nintendo library from NES-Gamecube including Gameboy color and GBA.
IPTorrents ftw

I have an old NES. I bought a cartridge with hundreds of games on it. Was a while ago and it wasn't expensive. eBay and Amazon both have them.

Download an emulator and the game ROMs you want to play on a compatible device. All free to you.
