I'm looking for a smart lock that doesn't require a hub. Anyone have any experiences with the Yale or Schlange wifi keypad locks. They have Amazon Alexa's so I don't want to introduce another app to use the nest+ Yale lock.

i have 3 separate nest x yale locks... i do have them connected to a hub but it's not necessary.

Schlage smartlocks here, no hub needed, seems like they pair up with all sorts of things. I have them paired to the alarm panel for recording what access codes were used and a timestamp for each.
Of course they use their standard cores so replacing and re-pinning etc is a breeze.

I believe my Yale is hooked directly to my SmartThings but I recall Alexa picking it up right away as well. My wife didn't feel safe with it on Alexa for whatever reason so we took it off.

You don’t have to use the app with the Yale locks, I have several and don’t use it at all
