Ok, so I know we’ve all beat the streaming services topic up, however, I wanted to go a little deeper. I am trying out fuboTV and I’m noticing that they’re the only 1 that plays nice with Apple TV’s in the sense of integrating with the Apple TV app. I’m also noticing that fuboTV seems to allow spatial audio directly from the fuboTV app for movies and such. I get that this only applies to people using iPads and AirPod Max/AirPod pros but these are the little things that sell me on 1 service vs the other when the price is equal.

So that leads me to the small details of the big streaming live TV services. Is there a current breakdown of things such as:
1) Who allows just 720p @ 30fps and 60fps? Who allows 1080p @30 FPS or 60fps? Who allows 4K (Only fuboTV but it’s very limited)?
2) Who allows for 5.1 audio? Doubt anyone allows for ATMOS (that’s a live streaming service).
3) Which service generally provides the best visual / audio experience? Is there a real document/site that breaks this down?

Att tv is the only 5.1 audio on live channels.

Att and YTTV both do p60 for 720 and 1080 channels.

Tmobile TV is only 720p30 for everything.

That is all I know of.

I’m curious if anyone else has noticed the spatial audio working with ipad/iphone and AirPod max/pros with any streaming service? I swear to God it works with fuboTV and that’s a huge sell for me as I watch a lot of TV on ipad.

All TV channels are broadcasted at 720p/60fps or 1080i/30fps.

Anything past that is upscaled. I know YTTV does upscale the native 1080i to 1080p/60fps, which helps with the smoothness.

4K is basically non-existent on all services besides special events and movies.

Agreed. I did just read an announcement last night from YTTV that they plan another package/tier that will do 4K, unlimited streams, etc. Curious to see what the official announcement is and how much more it’ll cost but I’m liking the direction that FuboTV and YouTube TV are going. Competition is good for us... but maybe not our wallets.
