Just FYI, I did end up getting a brand new lock for exactly $100 shipped from eBay. The IFTTT applet worked like a charm

I bought one a month or so ago for $115 shipped on eBay. Some of the best money I spent. Also bought a Samsung Smart Things hub and have it tied into it with my outside lights. I have it on a schedule to lock the door at a certain time, and I can unlock it from my phone if someone needs to get into my house for something. Also a lot easier to put in the code rather than digging for my keys.
