Just noticed an email in my junk mail saying this is your password to your computer that was infected with malware. It was the correct iPhone password. Says they have all my info and will spread it on the interwebs in 24 hours if I don’t send $900 in bitcoin. Is this really legit? These guys are crazy.

They are so tech savvy that they hacked your shite, but can't get their email past junk filters. sounds legit.

Maybe, but it’s pretty scary they have my phone password. At first I blew it off because I never even use my pc and it’s not the password. Then I realized it’s the phones password.

Just change the password on your phone

Stop using the same password everywhere. They probably got it from some old Yahoo account you had or something.

What info is worth $900?

They did pull your password from some dark web page. That is the only part that is legit.
Ignore it and change your password.

Ever wonder how many other people received the exact same email and it wasn't their password?
I've gotten one of these before and safely ignored it. Because it just takes one person replying to make it worth their effort... And it was for a junk account used for those really unimportant and tar-baby requests for an e-address.

Your password was likely scooped up from a breach of another service you use that password on.
If you re-use passwords, you're asking to get lit up by hackers.
Try to use different passwords per site/service. Password managers like LastPass can help with this.
My professional suggestion is change that password anywhere you may have used it and ignore the email.
