There was a Lightning Strike (accordingly to Entergy alert) in my area that knocked out the power to my home for a few hours. Seems to have ruined my Samsung TV and Sound bar plugged into the same outlet. TV won't turn on anymore, anyone have any luck getting a TV repaired. TV is 2 years old and was $1700, so having a little trouble with the idea of putting it out by the curb. Any suggestions?

Also the Samsung soundbar wont turn on but my sub woofer was not affected. Can't seem to find a way to just purchase a new bar without the sub woofer combo.

Like lonnie said, check outlet to verify power

Have you unplugged tv and let it sit for a few then plug it back in

I've had success with replacing power cords on devices that won't power on. It's a long shot with that tv but worth a try.

Outlet works, I've plugged other things in to verify. I've also let TV sit for hours unplugged and tried plugging in again with no luck.

Motherboard is probably shot. Easy fix, just need to search model number and can usually find the part for less than $100.

I’ve done 2 of them before, non-smartTV one was ~$30, smartTV was $50-75.

there are a few reset methods you can find on YT etc. One involves the remote and it's time specific, etc. I tried everything w/ mine and none worked. one uses a hairdryer but i believe that is for capacitor problems when it has been sitting. sorry, feel your pain I'm about to spring for another TV but if you fine a repair place please share
