Samsung 65” Q7 Quit Working

My TV is about 4-5 years old. All of a sudden the screen is black and no sound.
I have tried Xfinity cable box and PS5. Neither works.
The red standby light is on when the TV is off (this is how it should be).
I can hold the power button on the remote for several seconds and the TV will light up and sometimes show QLED in the center. Then it will go black.
The manual power button on the TV does not do anything but make the red light blink.
Any suggestions or is this a lost cause and needs to be replaced?

Software might be locked, thought maybe power board but you actually get the logo on the screen
Assuming you tried actually unplugging and leaving it unplugged for at least 30 seconds?

Try using a different HDMI input, and possibly a different cable.

Have not tried unplugging it yet. Need help getting it off the wall to do that.
I did kill the breaker to the wall where the TV is plugged in for a few minutes then turned it back on with no luck.

Xfinity cable box and PS5 are on 2 sepeperate HDMI cables and inputs on the TV. Neither works.
I do not even get the standard Samsung / Tizen smart hub or a way to access settings. Tried pressing Home button on remote and it’s just black screen. Shouldn’t this be displayed whether HDMI is plugged in or not?

The first thing to do is cut the power to the TV, either pull the plug from the TV or wall. If you cut the correct breaker, that should have done the same.
Before much else, if that TV has been there for 4-5 years, get your air compressor and blow into every vent or hole on to, sides, and back that you can find. Blow it out from multiple directions in each location.
I've had more than a couple of TVs which were shorting out from dust on circuit boards. Its certainly worth a shot.
And don't discount the old standby last resort tool. Hit the thing a bunch of times on the back. Works surprisingly often!

Your TV should have a reset button or a reset procedure hitting a combination of buttons. Check the user manual for your TV and do a reset. I have an older Sony TV and I infrequently have to reset it by pressing and holding two buttons on the back simultaneously.

For most Samsung TVs, it's holding the power button on the remote while the TV is on until the TV turns off (keep holding), sits off for a few seconds, then the Samsung logo appears on the screen.

I have done that several times and the TV blinks and lights up with no images. Just dark screen. Sometimes the QLED image appears then screen goes dark.

I will give this a shot.
Thank you all for the suggestions.

My thoughts exactly. Oh well.
Any suggestions on a new TV? Trying to stay under $1,200. Need Optical and 3 hdmi.
Looking at the Samsung Q80D or QN70F.
Open to Sony and LG.
Have had terrible luck with TCL and Hiscense in the bedrooms.

Is there a red ring around the Xbox logo, if so you’re screwed.

If you're in the market for a new TV RTINGS.com is the best site that thoroughly evaluates, tests and ranks TVs.
