WatchESPN has issues for big events across all streaming devices from what I understand. I know it does on both my Chromecasts and AppleTV.

The only app I have had issues with on the Fire devices is Plex. For some reason most movies I try to play encounter an error.
That may have something to do with the encoding I used but with over 400 movies to re-do, I just use my AppleTv to watch Plex.
Everything else works fine.

he FireTV HDR is bullshite. it says it can read HEVC H.265 but it cant. Im pissed about that. Whats what all my movies are in and i dont want to code them to h.264.
I have the Gen 2 so I guess it doesn’t have HDR capability? I have Netflix with the 4K upgrade so am I not seeing HDR through Netflix then? I also have a Roku 3 and that doesn’t have the 4K capability correct? What box do you recommend getting if I get one?

If you TV is HDR capable just watch on the Netflix app on the TV.
If you pay for 4K Netflix then gen 2 will only show 4K on the show description even if its available in HDR or Dolby vision.
Despite this Gen 3 having HDR, the Gen 2 is a better product.

I'm only gonna upgrade when Amazon comes out with a legit Gen2 replacement.
If they've chose to discard that altogether, I'm probably just gonna get an Nvidia Shield when I choose to upgrade to 4k HDR.

Yea right now this thing isn't even being use. Sticking with my gen2.
Apparently they are going to come out with a legit Gen 3.

Thanks for reminding me of that. Now the problem is the audio plays though the TV and not my AVR. My cable TV does through the receiver so not sure why the built in app won’t

Any suggestions?
