Thinking of switching from Hulu+Live to YouTube TV.

Main reason is that HULU Live has just been clunky lately. I mainly notice when I try to scroll ahead to record something. Its just laggy and takes FOREVER to do.

Signed up for the 7 day trial and I have a question. The wife has a few shows that she watches and I noticed that there are only a few episodes from a few seasons (Law & Order, 20/20 just to name a few). I know this isnt supposed to be like Netflix with an extensive streaming library but I figured that they would at least have all of the episodes of the shows they DID carry. My question is, is this maybe just a limitation due to only having the free trial right now and something that would be cleared up once I begin actual payment, or is this just how YouTube TV works?

Pros and cons for me is that I do like the multi-screen capability for sports but if I swap, Im going to lose my ESPN+

ETA: another question. This one regarding the multiscreen. I see 2 games on currently but when I select one, I dont see the potion to do the split screen like I have seen in videos. Does it matter if they are on different networks or carriers (ESPN/ FOX)?

I know, but its included in my HULU bundle and would just be another cost negating the lower cost of YouTube TV.

Any time they air, they'll record. Law and order probably airs 5 times a day. After a few weeks it'll be stocked up.

Ok, yea I did see someone say something about doing it that way I just wasnt sure if that was a viable option or not.

Do they go into your library or do you just search for the show and they show up there?

Just make sure you select to add it to your library. I'm assuming you are only seeing Eason's 7 & 23 right now?

As for this, go to the "home" tab and you should see a split screen option showing both games.

Yea Ive got her shows added to the library. Right now when I search for SVU I see seasons 1-26. Most of the earlier seasons only have 1 episode though, then the more recent ones only have a few.

20/20 is a lot more limited. There are only seasons 44-47 with one episode each.

Then you'll be good. As long as you have each one added to your library anytime an episode that hasn't already been added, it will record it. You should be able to go to the "scheduled" tab under library and it will show you what episode will be recorded in the near future.

Youtube tv and espn plus is still a few dollars less than hulu live. Unless you want disney.

I like the youtubetv interface much better than hulu plus the nfl package is on youtubetv if you want that.

If its movies and shows you’re after then stay with hulu live.

Yea ifigured it would be close to the same. We have a separate Disney account.

This is what really prompted me to try YT TV. I was trying to find the LSU/ UCLA game last Friday morning to set it to record and it took a solid 15 minutes. It was just slow and laggy. I got irrationally angry

I have yttv to record all LSU games. My wife has it record all women's volleyball that airs. It's the best at LIVE tv. As far as watching full series's like you would on Hulu or Netflix, then I would suggest something a little more gray area like an IPTV.

Honestly, if it wasn't for LSU football, then we wouldn't even have yttv.

No Space City on YTTV at this time. Would need something like Fubo as an add-on.

I recorded Law and Order and have every episode. Just need to give it some time. They all re-air.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.....

I have YTTV and it's my understanding that Multiview is only offered between certain games and only available when there are 4 or more games to watch. I assume 4 games is so your TV is broken into 4 even rectangles so that each broadcast remains at its original aspect ratio.

Normally on game day when there are a number of games on, there's many different Multiviews so you can pick what ever combination of 4 games you'd like to watch.

multiview works when 2 or more games are available. I believe now you can pick what games you want on multiview.

You can to an extent. For some reason it the Texas/ State game wasnt available to put in multi-view this past weekend. It was available in one of the pre-programmed multi-view options but I couldnt add it to a custom setup

One of the major network games is always only in 1 or 2 of the multi view groups. I've never even seen a way to completely choose the group yourself.
