i dont consider a poor guide nitpicking. That guide looks awful the way it is. It's a terrible idea to put the channels on the X axis and the times on the Y axis.

I'm 99% sure Direct TV's streaming service won't be available on any playstation platform

Oh I understand that I was just saying I think I might wait until direct tv's version comes out before I buy a PS3 incase I like direct tv's live streaming box and I buy a PS3 for nothing. I just want to see the reviews between those 2 whenever it comes out before I spend any kind of money.

Excel Spreadsheet of channels available on each package & their ability to log-in to stand-alone apps

you should add a "Total Channels" list at the bottom with a "countif" function so we know how many channels we are getting.

Fyi, Slim = 57, Core = 67, and Elite = 101 channels.

Someone's experience with Vue on the PS3

quote:

I have a PS4 that works flawlessly and has no lag on the UI, quick controls, etc. but my PS3 is pretty sluggish. Buttons don't work sometimes, the guide takes a while to load. R2/L2 will scroll you all the way with the tap of a button, etc. So I'm looking at possibly a FireTV stick to replace it since it isn't expensive, but I'm looking for feedback from people either with a FireTV stick or with both a PS3 and Fire stick to help me know if there's noticeable improvement in input lag w/the FireTV stick. EDIT: From the 2 replies, I realize I didn't differentiate between the Fire TV And Fire TV stick... I'm assuming Fire TV stick is as bad as the Roku stick, so I guess I'm really asking about the Fire TV compared to the PS3 Vue interface.

I'll do the free trial and try it on PS3 and a fire stick and report back.

Cool and see if it buffers sometimes like it does on sling TV.

I doubt it buffers..it's the main menu that'll be the problem

Slow and buggy until you get to the actual video is what people are complaining about

Hoping this is added to Roku or Apple TV soon. Would love to switch over from Sling Tv and have 25 more channels for the same price.

something is wrong about that spreadsheet. sony is advertising 70+ channels but the spreadsheet only has 67 listed for the Core package. weird.

Well, CBS and some Fox regional channels aren't available for the slim packages

doing a free trial with fire tv. much more stable than sling tv though the guide and layout take a bit getting used to. very impressed so far.

Weird. My sling is better so far. That said the lineup and picture quality may make me ditch sling.

Your sling is better, but you may ditch it because of inferior lineup and picture quality?

On the trial now and I've already cancelled Sling. This blows sling out the water.
