Soooooo I had to ditch Vue. MIL watches the kids and I said "Alright, here is what is happening. I ain't paying 130 a month for DirecTV. Here is the new format." She panicked and didn't like it and said "Well, I don't like this. Why don't we just order another receiver and you just pay us 15 a month?" I was like "Aight"

Is he stuck on watching that stuff live? KODI probably has all their TV shows on there

I have no experience with kodi and neither does she. I could work it easily im sure but i doubt she could. But i guess it's something worth considering.

My bad man, keyboard is giving out
Trust me..It's really easy. You can set it up to where to works similar to Netflix, but it's even more organized.
Turn on Fire TV > Select KODI > Select Exodus > Select Lists > Select TV Lists > Select shite tv show > select season > Select Episode > Auto-plays first working link
That's about as simple as it gets in terms of free stuff.

Look I set my mother up, she's 55 and about as computer illiterate as they come, and she can navigate Kodi on her own now.(on fire tv stick) Write down instructions on exactly what buttons to press to get to certain add-ons and the best part is the new add-on Exodus pretty much has everything you need from movies to tv shows.
Also, I am going to continue reading through the 37 pages of this thread but what does the data consumption look like on the vue so far? I just hooked my mother up with PS Vue and got her Cable bill down significantly, but I need to know if we need to upgrade the internet for the new unlimited package.

You set your mom up with Vue? The Fire Stick is terrible with Vue. I'm telling you, she will hate it.
Bring that shite back and buy the fire tv off of amazon for $85 while it's on sale
Also..she doesnt have live locals with Vue..did you hook up.her antenna?

They bundled her internet with local channels for 70 bucks (only local she would receive is abc with hd antenna). I've already ordered a Fire TV for her just have to find time to sideload Kodi onto it. I bought her a Fire TV stick for Christmas just for Kodi, so she'll be using that for about a week or two. But about the data consumption, how much should I expect?

I never surpass 350..I'm in the 270-320 range every month
What ISP is she with that offers unlimited?
ETA - I wouldn't go unlimited unless they start sending you warnings. Unless there's a strict "if you go over, you get charged X amount" deal there.

She's with suddenlink, it'd be 10 bucks more to go to the 350 cap and 20 bucks more to go to the 100mb/unlimited package. I'm just gonna pay attention to her usage this first month, but with having the locals in HD bundled in, I don't see her going over. As most of the daytime shows and stuff are all on the local channels. I know last summer after college me and my brother were back at the house and we used 850 gbs in July lmao, they didn't charge because they let you go over 3 times first.

I'm trying to sign up for the free trial but on PS vue site on my phone when it tried to detect zip it says they are working on a issue and to try again later. Anyone else?

Sign up for Vue on your Fire Tv or ps4
Posted on 5/8/16 at 11:21 am to VermilionTiger
When I open the vue app it asked for log on info. I didn't see where I could register I'll have to look again. I did the PlayStation account in my computer already. Thanks.

Just signed up for the free trial on the PS4 like 15 minutes ago with the $34 package and it's working flawlessly. Can't wait till my wife gets up from her Mother's Day nap so I can do my sales pitch to her to drop cable.
My quick question and it's probably a stupid one and probably answered several times, what's the easiest and best way to add Vue to the other two TV's in the house without buying more PS4's? Do I need to buy the fire stick or fire TV for each TV? No way to get this on the Roku 3?

No roku yet
Fire tv and fire tv stick will work.. if it's a room where you won't vary from maNY channels, the stick will work
If you're doing channel surfing I would not get the stick.. the menu is slow and delayed

Thanks for the info. One is my mother in laws room which she lives in pretty much so she will need full access, but as easy to control as possible.
The other is me and my wife's bedroom which we only watch TV in there when we want to watch two different things at the same time. So I'm thinking a Fire TV in the MIL room and the Fire stick in the bed room?

Good idea
Fire tv is pretty simple.. hopefully she figures it out
She's older so she probably watched locals.. Vue doesnt have live locals yet, do you have an antenna hooked up?

So I logged in with my psn info on the vue app on my fire tv. It says it detected my location as out of the US and ps vue is only offered in the US.
