Can you link the remote you have?

Harmony Remote
This is the one I got...but I paid 69.99 on sale 2 weeks ago. Works great. I had never used a Harmony so it took me a bit to get familiar with it. Now I love it. I even have it set with a "Watch Vue" program that turns on my tv and wakes up my Fire TV and then navigates to Vue and starts it up. I have a separate program that is "Watch Locals" that changes the input to the antenna. Hitting the off button turns the tv off and hits home on FireTV so I don't keep streaming eating up data.

Seems like a solid deal but I have the PS4 Universal Remote and I think it'll be a waste of money to own both.

Yea probably so. I really like not having to scroll through inputs to switch from locals to vue and also the fact that it'll work with bluetooth lights. Aside from combining my two remotes into one of course.
So Vermilion you talked me out of buying a new TV because I couldn't control mine with my FireTV remote...but I settled on a new remote to accomplish the same thing

I did end up buying a new TV though...just for my patio. A 48" with Roku built in. Not necessarily on purpose, but just because it was a good deal. So now you can add me to the number waiting for vue compatibility. For now I'll be bypassing the Roku and using a chromecast I guess.

Do I need it that fancy to work the Fire TV?

I am glad to hear how well the Harmony works with the FireTV and Vue...I love mine.

What do you mean by that fancy? You mean like that model of Harmony? I believe FireTV is bluetooth so you'd have to have the remote with a hub...I believe.
You can find these refurbs for pretty decent prices. I just got lucky and that one popped up at the right time.

I'm holding out until it becomes available on Roku. I already have 4 of them, so i'm not going buy a bunch of FireTV's.
From 4/18/16:

Sony is likely slowly rolling out the service to new devices in an effort to prevent the service from being swamped by new users. Sling TV had a similar slow roll out over months.
May people ask us almost daily what we know about PlayStation Vue and Roku. So here is what we know:
Cord Cutters News has now heard from several readers that they have been told by Roku customer service that there is a private Roku channel for the new PlayStation Vue service. If true (and we think they are being honest with use) this is likely happening because Roku may have a database of all private channels that reps can use to say “sorry we do not support that channel,” but some customer service reps may not know to keep that fact secret—they just see it on the list and say “sorry we do not give tech support for private channels.”
We have also heard from others who have stripped down the Fire TV app to its code and confirmed that newer Roku devices are capable of running the PlayStation Vue app.
So we think it is likely that Sony will release a PlayStation Vue channel on Roku.
The real issue here is not if but when. It is likely that Sony is trying to slowly roll out the service to prevent it from being flooded with new users. Typically, a new user will binge watch on a new app at a much higher rate than someone who has had an app for some time.
Although it may be coming, no one knows for sure when this will happen. It could be tomorrow or in a year—there really is no way to know.

Do you occasionally get the Fox Sports NOLA feed for Pelicans games?
I have a question for you. I placed my antenna in the attic, but I realized I have a radiant barrier, so my signal pretty much sucks. Any other options you know of besides placing the antenna on the outside of my house?

Who put in your radiant barrier? I bought two big arse rolls but I really don't want to tackle that

What is that...foil backed board on the roof? I have that...think its called tec shield?

Can you make a mount on the outside of the North side of your living room? I'm not sure what you're allowed to do..
Posted on 4/26/16 at 8:39 pm to VermilionTiger
I'm allowed to have an antenna on the outside of my house, but it has to be in the back, as far as I know. I was just wondering if there may be some kind of booster or something I could use without putting the antenna outside first. My guess is that I will just have to put it outside and let it be. I think my antenna will have to be high to catch CBS. That is the only channel I've had a problem finding so far. Admittedly, I only have a $30 antenna, so that could also be an issue.
