Wait a second, you're not supposed to log into apps such as watch espn or disney junior away from your home network? I thought that was just for vue

Is think the modem swap is your problem.
I have logged into several apps away from home using Vue credentials. No issues as of yet.

frick this man
It amazes me that they are so damn worried about account sharing that they are going to frick over people like this.
there's nothing they can do

There's nothing they can do? No way. They have to be able to wipe your "home" location or something. It's not coming up on any of your devices at home?

None..nothing they can do. And COX only offers static IP addresses on their business package. frick them

Wow, did you tell them you're their biggest cheerleader? So their solution for you was to cancel your service and tell you have a nice day? That can't be right...
Posted on 4/11/16 at 11:02 am to VermilionTiger
No way. Demand the next tier of support. Sounds like absolute bullshite to me.
Posted on 4/11/16 at 11:04 am to Baers Foot
yeah i'm calling Vue back right now.

Their support is absolute shite. I had issues signing up because it kept rejecting my credit card. I contacted them twice. They said wait 24 hours and try again and that it was the banks fault. I ended up just starting a fresh new PSN account and it worked fine.

Yeah I might have to start a new damn account
Posted on 4/11/16 at 11:26 am to VermilionTiger

Was this advice from their tech support?

I'm going to chalk this up to the service being so new and in it's infancy, when Sony realizes that people are latching onto this product as their primary source of entertainment they will hopefully move to improve all aspects of the product from UI to customer support.
Glad it all worked.
