Has anyone ever gone over their ISP monthly cap before? Do they just throttle or charge extra? Trying to see how much data I use to see if I need to go up a tier.

Directv did not give a single frick when I canceled, they told me to look for a final bill in the mail and to send stuff back when I get a kit then hung up on me

regards to usage, what is the best way to track that? I assume I can go to the uverse website and get that data.
Running tomato firmware on my router and it tracks bandwidth usage

Same. And the kit came in today. Packing their shite up now but I'm taking the batteries out of the remotes. Bastards

I just read and confirmed that for my tier Uverse, I will have a 600gb cap. This replaces the 250gb cap effective April 1st.
Att will also add a usage meter to their website and MyAtt app April first. Guess we'll see how it goes.

What speed? What carrier?

That sucks. What does Cox cost? My only options in Houma are Uverse and Xfinity. I believe Xfinity has 250gb cap, so I'll stick with Uverse. I pay about $53 per month.

Dang you guys don't have too many options. I am on Mediacom here but they have 1TB data caps. Google fiber next year, can't wait

This may have been discussed already and if so then I apologize, but is anyone using a harmony remote with their Firetv? If so does it work well? I'm currently using my tv remote for power, input to switch from locals to firetv and volume and then the firetv remote for firetv power and interacting with that. Gotta be a better way right?

Set up your CEC inputs.
The second I even touch the center button on my Fire TV remote my Vizio turns on and it automatically turns to the HDMI input that the Fire TV is on

Hold up whaaaa?
Googling....
Am I going to feel like an idiot for not knowing this?

This is what I want.

Just go to your main menu on your TV, go to settings, and look for something involving CEC

Learn something new every day. Vermilion
My TV is old as shite so hopefully it has this functionality. Otherwise I'm justifying a new TV purchase.

Don't buy a new TV just because of that

Sssshhhhh c'mon man this is as good a reason as any

I have to say I enjoy the experience on the Fire TV with Vue a lot. It's on par with the PS4 but I don't like using my PS4 unless I'm playing games.
I just watched my first DVR'd show and it worked flawlessly and the fast forward during commercials was amazing
