Is it worth it to upgrade from a 6 to a 7 Pro? I need to add a line for a kid and wondering if it's worth the upgrade for me or just go cheap for the kid. Google Fi service fwiw.

My kid has an iPhone SE that was free. Why would you give a kid an expensive phone?

Get the kid a 6a. Pretty cheap and decent phone.

Another option for kids is Tello. For my 12y/o, I have them on a $7/mo plan and it works great for what they need as a kid. Unlimited texts included.
