Walmart management did a three way call with me and techrabbit. Started off by saying that techrabbit was 100% wrong for saying it was a Walmart issue and that techrabbit will work with me on options.

Walmart supervisor got off the phone and the techrabbit lady tells me partial refund to keep or full refund to return. Same ole BS.

I may chat with Walmart again to let them know. I’ve got nothing to lose.

It definitely wasn't worth going through all of that trouble to me. It was just a low risk, would have been awesome to work out, deal. As long as I get my 60 with no hassle its fine. But damn there is never a deal on these things.

seriously, how do you people track this stuff. I monitor literally hundreds of platforms of communications and miss this stuff.

its tricky; you almost have to make a trip to home depot once a week and look for anything with a yellow tag.

home depot clearance starts at 25, then 50 then 75 ultimately. since they will take ANYTHING back with receipt you can buy when the price is still high (25 off) and then hang tight for a few weeks and once it hits 75 off, bring it back to customer service, return it, then buy it right back again at the new price.

the clearance can vary by store..i've been known to buy $3000 worth of nest cameras then drive 5 miles to the other home depot that had them on clearance (but no inventory) and return/buy them for $800

the trick is you cant wait too long because once they zero them out (turn into penny stock) you will only be able to return them and not rebuy.

this has happened 3 or 4x so far with hue; the clearance cycle can be triggered by something as innoculous as hue releasing a new product ID so you're getting the same product for 1/4 the price because the homedepot system sees it as 'old product id' and automatically starts clearing them out.

i would give you the final 'holy grail' in-store trick but mctiger might shoot me if i do.

eta if you're seeing something online then its probably too late. by the time it hits slickdeals all the squirrels come out of the woodwork and clear out the stores.

That's a risk we're willing to take. Let's have it!

Its all good. You go a couple times a week and look at the price check app on their in store computer while getting harrassed by hd employees for being on their computer. Best of luck

No, in store prices for HD. Clearance prices don't show online and often times, price tags are out of date depending on store

And if you're lucky enough to live somewhere there are 10 home depots within 20 miles you can quickly determine where to go who has stock.

Also when the creeps that work at home Depot try to hide their inventory for their friends you can get the manager involved in finding where they tried to hide it in the store.

Managers tend to get very angry if the system shows 10 in stock and they can't locate any of them.

the employees are clueless. dont ask them to check inventory because theyll pull up the website on their phone which is the same thing you can do at home.

go into appliance or lighting areas; always an open computer back there and go their 'inventory checker' app and then key in 'hue' or whatever keyword you're looking for.

click the item and it will show you not only if its on clearance (marked with big yellow price tag) but also if the store you're at has it in stock, aisle and shelf, number in stock but most importantly on the right you can see every store in 20? 30? miles and their inventory level.
