all the gates have latches & springs to keep them pulled shut. i debated putting locks on them but the fence is that 'black aluminum 5 foot' crap that any can climb over with little effort.
so i decided i'd rather know if someone was in my pool because they opened the gates and didn't notice the sensors (which I black plasti-dipped and put at the bottom of the gate where no one notices them)
eta you will get a creepy feeling the first time you open your eyes because your bedside lamp comes on by itself and turns red in the middle of the night.

So you just message them about the issue and they just send you a replacement? No real hassle?

philips hue customer service isn't the best but if you email them (best way) and explain the situation and prove the lights are less than (1? 2? years) old they will have you send them back and will ship you new replacements.
i shipped back 3 gen2 bulbs that were acting up (blinking, not coming on) which i actually think was my fault by having them in a confined fixture (one of those vinyl/plastic fixtures from lowes that go on the ceiling and doesn't have any openings to let air flow around it) and they may have gotten too hot.
they 'examined them' and sent me 3 gen3 bulbs back new in boxes. i actually haven't opened them yet.
so they're not as good as amazon or schlage with customer service, but as long as you have a defective bulb and a receipt you'll get a replacement pretty quick.

Got mine ordered too. I have a few lightstrips and a bunch of white lights. Have been wanting to get the colored versions for a while.

CAD I will have over 60 bulbs. How does that work with two hubs. Does it all mesh in their app?

i think the hard limit is 63 so see how many you have first.
try simply adding a second hub (the hue app will let you do that).
i have about 50 lights on my hub (a mix of hue and ikea and ge link bulbs) and zero problems.
i have heard of people with 3 hubs they claim they have no problem with so i would start by simply adding them.
you may have to refresh the alexa skill but the hue app should handle everything you need to do with a second or third hub natively.
eta reddit /hue sub is your friend as well. you'll likely get an answer there for any questions you have.

Y'all know all those Walmart $60 bulbs are going to be white ones right? There is no way anyone is selling a 4 bulb color kit for $60. The ad had a wrong description on it.
