Moving into a new house in a couple weeks and the new space seems to be set up perfectly to benefit from versatile lighting.

For starters looking at (4) of the recessed bulbs and (2) strips.

Questions:

Worth the price?
Best place to buy?
Do they blend well with other off the shelf single color bulbs?
Things I'm not considering/aware of?

Absolutely worth it. I love ours and have quite a few and different types. It would take a novel to tell the cool things about them.

Best Buy and Amazon.
The price is pretty much set in stone for now.
Facebook Marketplace can land you a steal every so often

We have a few in the master bedroom and bathroom and enjoy them. Going to start next in the living room kitchen. They are expensive but worth the money in my book.

The misses knows it’s game on when she walks in the bedroom and it’s lit up all red!!

I hope that works better for you then me, my wife liked it the first time now she just gets pissed every night. Maybe it’s because I do it every night?

Consider motion sensors.

Every bulb in my place is Hue, even the porch light ("Look for the purple porch light" in delivery instructions is a killer app).

By far, the single thing I love the most are the motion sensors in the bathrooms. Between 10 pm and 8 am, the lights automatically come on in a very dim red. When you're half asleep at 4 am and have to pee, you don't have to fumble for a light switch and you're not blinded or fully waken up by your lights.

The sensors are legit. We have one on our main hall from the garage and one in the master bathroom. The hall is nice when you come in bags in hand and don’t have to fumble for the lights. Bathroom is set up for nighttime pissing as well.
