If your wife has to have the hallmark channel, you can try the frndly app. It comes with all 3 of the hallmark stations and on demand plus cloud dvr. It’s $7 a month and no commitment so you can drop it after the holidays. Comes with the game show network, the weather channel and the outdoor channel too

I did the same thing since August for financial reasons. I was paying almost 200 a month for internet and cable. I was never home to use it.
So I just switched to an unlimited data package on my phone and never looked back.
I did do a trial of YouTube TV, I was impressed event with some of the locals (no live ABC 26 in Nola, but you could still get some ABC shows a day later on demand).

Cut the cord years ago. Hulu fills my needs for sports and news. Netflix/amazon for movies and documentaries. Best thing about not having cable is I find myself reading more than I ever have and on a whole range of topics.

Someone tell me a cheap way to get HGTV for the wife and I'm out of cable

Same here...
Also how do you keep up with new shows on the non-prime networks like A&E, FX, etc? If you don’t see a commercial for something, how are you going to know you might want to watch it?

Hulu +Live, Netflix, Prime and Disney+
This is what I have. I don’t even consider prime a streaming service. I have it primarily for free 2 day shipping. And I’d be surprised if I keep Disney+.
I pick up ESPN+ during baseball season. I can’t imagine myself needing anything more

Hulu live has HGTV as well as all the ESPNs and local channels. I think it’s $45/month. Cheaper than any cable or satellite I can get

Cord free since 2012 and have never missed it.
