I want an iPhone that has iOS 11 that I can use as a dedicated drone controller. What is the oldest model of iPhone that I can get that can use iOS 11?

Is your actual question what's the cheapest iphone I can get to use as a drone controller? You might ask friends and family that have iphones if they have their previous ones laying around. My wife and I tend to use them long enough that there's not much resale value so we have a collection of older iphones. I'm sure most people that don't upgrade regularly do the same.

Keep in mind the older an iphone is that's running a newer OS, the more likely it is to be a slow pile of problematic shite with bad battery life.
