Bed Bath & Beyond is still selling iHome Smart Plugs for $19.99.
Man, thanks for this info. Just grabbed 3 more from my local store. If I can scrounge more coupons together I might go grab another.

Say you have a ‘Welcome Home’ Shortcut setup that turns on the lights, unlocks the front door, adjusts the thermostat, and puts your camera into Home mode. Place a Flic on your car dashboard, connect it with your Shortcut, and press it when you’re pulling into the driveway for a more convenient arrival home.
Looks like this fixes the geofencing issue.

super lame. get a connected lutron zigbee remote for less money and you can program up to 4 shortcuts and don't have to deal with the stupid bluetooth or a product that likely won't be around a year from now.
Bam! $21 for a much much MUCH better product
eta caleb knows whats up lol

This is the product every smart home needs, but especially if you use the Wink HUB. Not only can you use it to control lights, you can set each individual button to trigger a Wink Shortcut. I labeled each button as the name of the shortcut.
Now I can press one button to trigger the
Goodnight Shortcut: Lock the door, lower the thermostat, and turn the lights off
Movie time: Turn on Popcorn Popper, Dim the lights, and turn on the power to the TV
Home Shortcut: Lights on, Door Locked, AC set to my preferred temp.

Leedarson's just showed a Zwave arrival sensor at a show in Europe last week. It's a little Zwave keyfob that can tell your system you are home or not. Might be a cool piece for you since you have trouble geofencing your Wink. That is of course if it cheap.

Hasn't something like that been out for a long time now? Besides it seems huge to put on a key chain when your cell phone does the job just fine.

Was something similar in Bluetooth
Good for those who have issues setting up geofencing or for systems that don't do it well.

LOL @ all the 'chinese' go control sensors behind him in that video. i spy the alarm, motion detector and door sensors.
eta bbap, i'd probably just toss this in the glovebox and forget about it. definitely not something i'd want on a keychain.

Yeah that makes sense but I still don't see how it works better than your phone. Can your hub not tell when you've left the house?
Posted on 2/16/17 at 11:59 am to bbap
Yeah, I don't get that part either.
CAD, how do you handle getting around the geofence issue now, based on wifi connections?

I have a tricky situation because I don't have cell coverage at my house so I have a T-Mobile wifi to LTE transmogrifier in my house that causes confusion when I arrive home since it puts out a stronger LTE signal than wifi.
Also LTE sometimes drops out.

So geofencing doesn't suck, T-Mobile sucks.

Chances are your schlage locks have disconnected from Wink. Check them and watch if they haven't. Latest firmware jacked them up. I went through a new set of batteries in a week because of this.

Unlearn the lock from your controller and then learn it back in while the lock is sitting right next to the controller. After that put them back where they will live and rediscover, or whatever you controller calls it, the Zwave mesh. That might fix your battery issue.

Thanks, I will give it a go.
Also, Hue is on final clearance at HD. Br30 starter kits for 50, bloom starters for $45, and gen 2 ambiance starter for $50. Airline and Zachary have no more. Have not checked Coursey or Highland. Don't think Denham dropped yet.
