Someone on the wink tade group (facebook) is selling 4 essential kits for $40 a piece. Hes from Kenner. I can contact him if you are interested

So it didn't affect you?

Anyone found a hub 2 yet? Reddit says they are popping up in stores on the West Coast. San Diego to be exact.

Fresh off the truck.
A few Home Depot's in BR have them. Use the app and you can track them down. Only 3 available at the stores.
Transfer was easy. Lights seem to have a faster response time.

Are you guys using the Amazon echo to control?
Posted on 10/27/16 at 4:37 pm to LSU5508
I'm using the dot, but yes. Thermostat, lights and shortcuts are the only things showing up though. I have to test my alarm on my phone when I want to frick with the kids. Of course, it wouldn't make much sense to let them know it's coming by yelling out my intentions.

Does the dot have any limitations compared to the full Alexa?
Posted on 10/27/16 at 5:04 pm to LSU5508
There isn't a difference in regards to the smart home features. The biggest difference is the speaker on the Echo is better.

Spotted them at walmart. Picked it up then talked myself out of it. Going to wait to see what specials HD will run on them, and give them a chance to get everything ironed out.

I have the hub 2 Up and running. Everything works fine accept schlage locks. Apparently when you pair they stay hidden. Wink is aware.

CAD "best value shades" review
So for my shade solution as everyone knows I opted to go with the "steves" brand blinds from Steve's Blinds (easy to look up this website online).
I had some fairly large windows to cover and I shopped around for quite awhile and nothing came close in terms of quality and options so I took the plunge.
I paid a total of $210 (including shipping and overnight production of my custom-sized blinds) for 3 shades.
I also kickstarted $160 ($49 x 3 + $10 shipping) for MOVEZ zwave motors supposed to ship in the spring.
Blinds are VERY good quality. I went with 18% transparency solar shades and it took me no time to install them. Very impressed so far.
* easy to remove chain cuff that I took off for now because I didnt want to drill holes in the trim i would be swapping out with the motors in the spring
* little 'bead' to clip to the chain at the correct spot to lock the shades 'down' movement at the precise location you want.
* opted for solar shades because i didn't want to block my view but these make a HUGE difference for the afternoon sun
* in the pic below you'll see the color-matched chains just hanging loose as I am not using the cuffs for now
* 1 day build/free shipping. very slick.
here's some before and after (and in before CAD's house has trashy christmas lights that have fallen off)
BEFORE
AFTER
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
hopefully the zwave motors will be the finishing touch.

very cool, can't wait for you to do the Zwave motors. This has been a segment dominated by Lutron, nice to see so many cheaper alternatives popping up.
Posted on 11/1/16 at 8:18 pm to TigerWise

I have you to thank. I was looking into lutron Serena but for my size windows it was ridiculous. Closer to 3k than 300.
If the movez solution works I'll be spending 10% of that.

Cad, its sent.
Also to those of you that use Alexa, how do you keep her from getting confused on like rooms. For instance I have a light named Living Room Recess and a wink shortcut named living room lights(for all lights in the living room) when i ask for the living room lights, she tells me multiple options found.
