So, if there weren't any in that search than there aren't any available.
well that's certainly not true at all. I did search and it was hard to tell based on the switches i was looking at.
You sound like you need to get laid.
but i got my answer thanks to a reply from someone offline. no thanks to you "let me google that for you" joke that was played out 3 years ago.

The best part is that instead of looking at the switch you already had or even reading the fricking manual that came with it, you searched and searched and then asked this thread. Nice. And I am the a-hole? hahaha

i admit that was a rather boneheaded move on my part. never realized it had that functionality. but it isn't listed anywhere i saw on it's amazon listing which i checked before asking. It only says you can control it with the app.

yes, that much is pretty clear.

Got all my switches connected. That you Cad. Also got my generic z wave plug ins connectednd controlling my aquarium.
I also was searching about the c by ge bulbs and a poster on reddit, 28 days ago, said he talked with c by ge support and they said wink support should be around by summer. Will use wifi like the link bulbs. So I can't wait.

Eta and the bulbs only support Bluetooth as the radio si while they might be controlled by the wink hub they're not technically wifi.

neither.
link bulbs are zigbee
its not important however, as long as the radio works. the hub supports zwave, zigbee, bluetooth, wifi & lutron.
as long as they can get a signal the hub will manage them.

well from what i understand zwave is just a more advanced zigbee. I just dont like the bluetooth interface. it is too finicky when switching from one to the other.

i could wax eloquently about this

zwave = generic = each device acts as a repeater to extend and strengthen your HA network. good stuff.
zigbee = manufacturer genric-ish, each manufacturer has bastardized the standard to only allow the repeater stuff to work with their own junk which defeats the whole openness. they fricked the pooch with this standard.

i dont see BT as any different than the other radios (we'll find out) but you're frustrated with a flaky app and the fact it has to re-establish a connection every time you launch the app on your phone..oh and you have to bluetooth radio turned on on your phone first..oh and be in range of both sets of bulbs which depending on your phone, may have a shittier bluetooth stack.
in other words, i think you'll see comparable performance/range for the GE bulbs once they add them to the wink hub as other devices.
dont judge them yet by the poor implementation they are currently bound under.

hey is there an external temp switch that pairs with the honeywell thermostats that it will read the temp from my room rather than where the unit is?
I think ecobee has this. i think

Bluetooth just isn't there yet for whole-house control. It's fine for a single purpose devices but multiple devices bogs it down where a Zwave network would get stronger.

well i know about that. But i dont want to have to buy 20 vents to outfit my house. just a thermostat that reads the temp in my room instead of the hallway.
i wonder if this connects to them.
LINK
only with RedLINK 2.0 thermostats
I cant tell if it is compatible with the Rth9580wf

you realize that little $60 sensor is all you need right?
added advantage it has humidity, occupancy sensor, temp, etc.
great deal for the intro price of $60.
plus you can move it around in the house.
