Exclusive to Verizon.
However, you can order it directly from Google Store
So will they run on AT&T? I can't find an answer on google search

Yes. Just buy directly from the Google Store. They are unlocked and work on all 4 major carriers.

So if im on a family plan (i pay my parents for my line, it just works for everyone) will buying this phone from the google store lower that bill at all? Or should i just get a subsidized phone through AT&T (im available for an upgrade)?

Sounds like you can not get a subsidized Pixel through AT&T at the moment.

I dont know. Are you still paying off your current phone? If so then no it doesn't lower the bill. Doesn't raise it either.

Not an option

depends on your definition of dumb. I don't think it's "dumb" but it might not make sense to you if your current phone is still working well. Or if you don't have the money or can't rationalize spending $800 for a phone.

Im just saying, if there is not counteraction on the bill end, essentially this phone costs like 500 dollars more than an iPhone/galaxy/LG for me straight up lol. Is that right.

I'm pretty sure ATT is not doing subsidized iPhones anymore. You have to get it through ATT Next which is basically paying for the phone in monthly installments.

No that's probably not right. If you are subsidizing you are likely paying a little more each month plus you have to extend your contract.

quote:they are literally rebranding the Google Cast app as Google Home. How can that be a bad example? I even provided a screenshot showing that it was going to happen. The fact that they are also releasing a new physical product with the same name as the app doesn't make me wrong. It means that google is once again being confusing.
Then listed Google home as an example that was simply a bad example.
heck, the reason they changed the name of the app from Chromecast to Google Cast was to signify that the app was different than the physical device. Now, they'll have a product that is basically the Amazon Echo called the Google Home. Then, they'll have an app called Google Home that you don't even need the physical product to use. You can use it with a Chromecast.
My example was good. in fact, you made it better for me by pointing out how dumb it is for Google to do what they are doing with it.
Google Home is both a rebranding of the Chromecast app (currently known as Google Cast) and a new speaker/product that utilizes Google Assistant (formerly known as Google Now).

I understand. Im part of a family plan which is not Next. Meaning we are already "extending our contract" and "paying a little more". And i have an old 5s.

Does AT&T still do subsidized pricing? If not, then buying the phone through Google and having it financed through them would be the same as paying for it through AT&T monthly. It would lower your AT&T bill actually.

sure it would lower your at&t bill but you would have the google bill. so that's a wash.
And i'm pretty sure at&t no longer does subsidies. Which really isn't the worth thing in the world.

Yeah. He will be paying the same. It would just lower the AT&T bill that his parents see.

Thats what im asking. How would it lower it? When i brought the phone to AT&T to activate, they would just change the bill? Which part? the cost of the line?

You pay the $200 of the $800 phone bill up front. The other $600 is divided into your contract payments. If you got a plan without that phone payment factored in, your bill for service only will be cheaper.
