One feature I'm really excited is the camera (and it's speed) but I'm not sure I can justify that price over a 6P

Ordered Pixel 128G. Almost $1K for a phone. Unreal.
iPhone cost same amount. These are on par with that unfortunately.

I meant when I pre-ordered my phone, I was given at option at checkout to get a SIM card for Fi. I declined, but am curious if there is an additional charge for this.

I would just like to know how "water proof" the iphone is and why Pixel didnt go that route.
Really imagine an indestructible phone that you dont have to worry about the screen cracking when you drop it and a phone you dont have to take out of your pocket when you get in the pool.

well the sim is free. but you have to pay for the Fi service. 20 bucks for unlimited talk text + 10/per GB. It is pre pay to they charge you on the next bill if you go over and credit you if you go under.
This might be an option for my youngest as we are debating on when to get her a phone.

pretty damn waterproof. there are youtube videos of people dropped it 30 feet and letting it sit for 10 minutes and it still working.

This is my configuration in my bedroom:
If I purchase these cables:
can I take advantage of Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging with this setup?
Or will I need to use the OEM power adapter to accomplish this?

6 grounded outlets and 2 USB ports (2.4 amps total) let you power up to 5 devices

I know, I know. But until today, I had always for the subsidized upgrade for $199. Not used to dropping a g on a phone.
Btw - this phone is not "waterproof" at all. It is just water resistant. Meaning if you operate it upright in rain - you'll be fine. Other than that - good luck.
Buy the $99 2 year insurance to protect your $1,000 investment. That'll make your phone completely waterproof, dropproof, scratchproof and crackproof.
A friend of mine broke his phone in frustration after losing to Wisconsin and he had a new phone the next day.

Yep. I always purchase the coverage.

no. just have to use the usb wall block included with the phone.

I prefer to use only the USB cable Type A to Type C and not the power adapter.
If using this setup, can I take advantage of the quick charge? Or is this only available through plugging the power adapter into the surge protector hub (or by itself into the wall)?
Edit ... I now see your reply above.

if the Usb amp output is the same as the quick charge block i dont see that it would be any difference.
quote:so it looks like each usb outlet is pushes 1.2 amps which isnt a lot, some are pushing 2.5 and 3 now.

Anker told me they have a Type A to C block that'll quick charge my Nexus 6P.
But the one I bought from them does not. Although with a good cable it does appear to charge more quickly than my regular blocks and USB C cables.
The only reliable "charging rapidly" setups I've used are the stock one (type C to C) and an aftermarket MacBook charger I have.

Yeah, I bought one of those high speed 10 port blocks for around $25. I think it maxes a little over 2A and it will fully charge my zenfone 2 in about 45 minutes.
