Using a Q myself, and it can be quirky from time to time. Mostly, loading time can be a while, or audio gets out-of-sync. Any suggestions to improve audio sync? My ISP provides around 65Mbps download. Over Wi-Fi, I get around 35Mbps.

Which version of kodi are you using? I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "q"....those speeds are good but im not sure what your asking altho I understand that your saying your having audio and buffering problems...I need to know what your using

probably a Matricom Gbox Q
same thing i have. in which case, he'll need that buffering fix you posted for me a page or so back. and for the audio. that happens with certain streams, but with Genesis at least, you change can sync the audio by setting it milliseconds ahead of behind of the video.
Also, when it comes to buffering and using Genesis. I've found that when I find a working stream. I pause it immediately and wait. If it doesn't go ahead and buffer a few minutes ahead. Then i go back and find another stream. Otherwise, you'll be fighting it the entire episode waiting on it to buffer.

Your channels will be turned off soon....get an antenna to pick up your locals in hd....splitters will slow your internet speed, not sure if it will impair programming...won't matter in a month cause you won't have what you don't pay for esp if it's Cox....years ago you could get by with basic cable staying on when you paid for only Internet but not anymore
Not true. Time Warner in Lexington has been digital for 6 years now and there are still 20+ unencrypted channels (including SEC Network and ESPNU SD) I can pick up. Same thing for my brother-in-law who's never had cable, only internet.
If it ever changes I'll just hook up another $6 antenna like the one I have in the bedroom to pick up the networks.

New tweak for kodi for buffering issues....after Trial and error I've come across a much better tune for buffering....some of you used some old figures i provided, here are the new ones
If you have the fusionZip dl"ed then you should have what is called "easy advanced settings" click on it, if not go to repos and inside "kinkin repo" should be the "easy advanced settings" program ...then click on, enable it...then this program will be in your programs, go to it and click on...
Edit settings

Click done for all 3 and back out till you get to edit settings again then click on
"Write xml file"
Restart kodi
Done....enjoy...

i think it's important to point out that the cache settings heavily depend on available RAM, and the firetv has twice as much as the fire stick. also, whatever you set the buffer size to, Kodi needs 3X more RAM than that. so technically if you have a firetv with 2GB RAM, you could take the 40,943,040 bytes all the way up to 666,666,666 bytes, but that would probably be pushing it. if you have the fire stick, it's half of this. this wiki article explains some dangers of too much cache storage:

Agreed that is why I gave a safe figure to play with for fire tv without having to be to technical to the average guy who just wants to watch tv and I guess I should add that these figures work great when just streaming, not dling anything and i stand corrected on the stick...I have never used the stick Nor experimented with good tweaks for it....

I cut the chord, using Amazon Firestick and Netflix currently... I don't watch a lot of tv currently as is. Only Gotham and The Flash do I watch weekly. Cut my bill from 79.99 a month to 7.99 a month as that is what I pay for netflix.

Anyone using the Genesis addon for Kodi on the Fire Stick know why I could be having problems finding HD versions for TV shows?
Posted on 9/13/15 at 3:39 pm to boXerrumble
Not sure because if you are clicking on a particular tv show in genesis, it will list the show in several video qualities like hd, 1080p, hq, mq, lq....just pick the one you want and stream....

Used your last settings. Suddenly, I started getting the following messages when trying to stream: "Cache Full, Cache filled before reaching required[...]" about every 2-5 minutes when streaming a video. Very annoying as it keeps pausing the video for 1-2 mins, buffers up, shows the message and then continues playback only to repeat a few mins later. I changed back to the original settings, but this now continues.
Not sure what happened, but I had never had this before and now I get it on everything.

I got a FireStick with Kodi already installed. It was working fine-ish but over the last few days Kodi won't start up. Any ideas?
