Can't bring myself to drop $150-200 on oem Airpods. Anyone have success with another brand?

Havent tried any others. I do have a coworker behind me that bought an off brand and is always complaining about his.

I have had Airpods for over 2 years now and use them for hours a day. The normal ones are only $129....Well worth the purchase price IMO.

The knockoffs sucks. $129 is well worth it.

My daughter really wanted airpods, but being younger, we didn't want her to lose $130 airpods. She ordered some cheap ones from Amazon, and after she showed she was able to take care of them for several months, one of her grandmother's got her a set for her birthday last year. She hated the knockoffs. They would randomly unpair, or maybe one would work and the other stop working. No issues with the airpods, and well worth the price.

Just got some of these a month ago after reading some good reviews and I gotta say they are excellent for the money. Can be had for $25 (usually $50) currently on Amazon. Very comfortable, and sound great. I cut grass with mine a few times so far and easily drown out the mower sound. Wear them most of the day at the office and are very comfortable as well. Highly recommend.

I tried knockoff brands and they just don't work right. They either don't sound good, fall out of ear, have poor call quality, or just disconnect randomly.

I had to put up money for Airpod Pros about a year ago, and I'm glad I did. I use them daily for music, Zoom meetings, phone calls, working outdoors, exercising, etc..

They are definitely worth it, especially if you plan on using it a lot.

I use galaxy buds with my iphone.

I used to own and android phone but was forced to downgrade into the Apple ecosystem for work. Galaxy buds work just fine with an iphone.

I said this too. Finally went all in and grabbed the first gen. Happily still used them 2 years later. The usability and compatibility was worth it alone.

$150 sounds pricey, but it’s an investment on tech that will not disappoint.

Went ahead and bought the pros and it was worth it too.

On the normal Airpods can you hear any music if you were to use them when doing something like cutting grass? I know they aren't noise cancelling and it would be a hella background noise but is it possible?

I cut grass with mine all the time. Music is fine and you can hear it pretty well. When I listen to a podcast, sometimes it can be hard to make out individual words and I’ll have to switch to music. It may depend on the source volume as well. I haven’t tried the pros in the situation. My wife has a pair that I might have to try and see if I can justify the upgrade.

Jaybird Earbuds are legit. No doubt best on the market for sound, durability and comfort. Plus super waterproof.

I do everything in my AirPods. Cut grass, tractor work, workout, I have to use them when I drive with the top down or else I can’t hear anything. I got them when they came out and use them everyday. Well worth the investment.
