New IPad in 2024?

Was looking to buy one but it seems a new version might be released in March. Should I wait?

I think your best move is to buy one with the M1 chip, unless you're planning on using this as a main computer. When the new ones drop I imagine you can get used ones for $550 or so. The M1 should be powerful enough to last years.

Do the M1 have 120Hz displays? That’s a pretty big deal for me. Will not be using as a main computer

The M1 is the processor. I just looked and to get 120 mHz, you'll have to buy an ipad pro. That's going to be much more than the price point I listed in response to your OP

You can get the refurb M1 for $639 at apple.

Most iPads are listed as don’t buys due to how long it’s been since a new release. It has been close to 500 days or longer for most and also longer than averages for time between updates for prior releases.

I would only buy one right now if you find some great online deal far below Apple’s listed retail by someone with too much inventory before a product refresh. Even if Apple doesn’t update a particular item the price may drop to be at a better price point with the new releases.
