New house location. No internet??

Moving to a new house soon. Previous owner states that the only internet service he could get was satellite. There are two cell towers in the area. But my phone only gets two bars at best (closer to 1 bar). Is my only option to have a small tower built and hope that I get a better signal? I have a router that will take the signal and service my devices. It works pretty well where i am now. But i am fairly close to a tower where i live now.

I wouldn’t sign a mortgage on home that had no broadband options.
Hopefully for you Skylink will rollout and give you a decent option.

It's a long shot, but it's possible there is a WISP (Wireless ISP) that services your area. If you are willing to put up a small tower, the service range can be surprisingly far.
Also sign up to be notified about Starlink, maybe you can get in early.

Im about to look into nomad. No caps or anything.
I also would be interested in starlink. Seems like it's going to bee pretty good as well.

What area are we talking? If it's La, then I know a company that services that state.

Call about a business connection to that address for both Comcast and Spectrum. They'll do a site survey and if it's under a magic number, they'll run new lines out there. Good Luck.

No internet at this time. I'm sure it'll come eventually. Sounds like a cool place with privacy.

If you don't mind me asking, what town? My company puts services on water towers and I would approach your town manager.

Look for either a fixed wireless provider (I use Cajun broadband in Acadiana), find a LTE provider like nomad or lastly you could wait for Starlink which will be similar to broadband cable but actually be satellite. Do not get modern satellite internet under any circumstance.
