Just made my third trip to Home Depot. Picked up three more indoor IQs. They were out of the outdoor IQs. They still had the Nest Secure starter system.

I just went hunting. Really wanted the outdoor IQ. Price checked it and they had one left, but when I got there it was already gone.

Ended up getting the 3 pack of indoor cameras and the nest security pack. Good enough! That was a thrill. Hit 3 different Home Depots.

ETA: wish I would've done this on Monday when the thread first started.

Any downsides to placing an indoor camera on a windowsill and facing it outside other than not having sound?

I’m blown away by the quality of the IQ cameras compared to the standard ones. I’ve had 5-6 standard indoor/outdoor cameras over the last few years. I could never justify the extreme extra cost.

However now that I’ve got three outdoor IQs and four indoor IQs. I’m blown away. The cameras are in the same spot as the old standard and it’s insane.

This is the goat thread for sure. Good luck guys.

I've had one of the indoor ones outside in my carport for about a year and a half now. No issues. Only problem I can see with having it look out a window is potential glare or reflection from the glass.

Just snagged one in plano. What I'm finding out that their inventory is more accurate than some of these other stores. If you call the number and do the price check thing and they tell you that it's there, then it's most likely there. You have to find a store person that's willing to look for it. This last one wasn't in the clearance locker. The lady said there's one more spot she can check at customer service, and BAM!

Damn so I just need to put a little more effort in maybe. Frisco told me that I was like the 4th person since yesterday trying to buy them all and that they were out. Got the indoor and the security system out in Lewisville.

I called a lot of them and did the price check. Might try again tomorrow.

I’m trying to get the outdoor IQ for the front of our house.

I’ve got a 3 pack of inside cameras, but not sure if we’ll use them tbh. We have a townhouse so I only plan to use the one that came with the security system for the downstairs area since it’s all one open area.

ETA: damn didn’t realize I replied pretty late. Let me know if they have the goods.

I had it in my hands, got confused thinking I had the wrong thing, gave it back. Went to my car to focus on sku numbers and by the time I realized it was too late.
